E-Library
The library is the 'heart' of any academic institution and plays an important role in all academic activities and more so in law institutions. NLA library serves as the intellectual foundation for the students and faculty engaged in legal education and research. The library collection includes a comprehensive array of legal resources in both print and electronic forms as well as access to online law resources. The library is dedicated to provide expert services to the student community with legal research guidance and to look forward to assist students and researchers for their legal research.
The library is located at second floor of the NLA building with immense number of seating capacity. Library is automated and circulation of books is maintained with the help of barcode system. The library is automated using library module of VRIDDHI Software (an integrated campus management software). VRIDDHI Software integrates all the libraries through Intranet in Azam Campus and the OPAC of all the campus libraries can be searched at one terminal. Library has CCTV system to monitor activities of students and other patrons towards security and safety issue.

Books: The collection comprises over 5,400 documents including encyclopedias, commentaries, reference books, text books on various subjects like Jurisprudence and Legal Theory, Clinical and Legal Education, Legal Research, Professional Ethics, Law and Society, Family Law, International Law and Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Cyber Law, Labour Law, Medical Law, Biotechnology Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Law of Contracts, Torts, Property Laws, Land Laws, Company Law, Banking Law, Judicial Process, Judicial Activism, Arbitration and Conciliation, Interpretation of Statutes and so on. In non-law section, library has books of Economics, Sociology, Political Science, English, Legal Language and History.
Reference Resources: The collection includes handbooks, general and legal dictionaries, legal encyclopedias like Halsbury's Laws of England, Halsbury's Laws of India, Manuals, Digests, Index to India legal periodicals and other reference books.
Law Reports: The college also subscribes a number of reports like All England Law Reports, All India Reporters, Supreme Court Case, Company Cases, Bombay Law Reporter, Maharashtra Law Journal, Labour Law Journal, Criminal Law Journal, Consumer Protection Judgments, Corporate Law Adviser, etc.
National and International Journals: The college also subscribes various national and international journals including American Journal of International Law, Columbia Law Review, Harvard Law Review, Human Rights Law Review, Law Quarterly Review, Indian Bar Review, Indian Journal of Criminology and Criminalistics, Indian Journal of International Law, Indian Journal of Law and Technology, Indian Journal of Political Science, Journal of English Language Teaching, Journal of India Law Institute, Journal of Intellectual Property Rights, NLSI Review, Orient Journal of Law and Social Sciences, Socio-Legal Review, University News, etc. Most of the Reporters also include the Journal Section.

E-Library
The purpose of E-library is to enhance the accessibility of legal information and quality of legal research through online legal databases with support of information available in public domain. The E-library provides electronic legal search facility through various online database and CD-ROM based services which may be accessed through 25 desktop computers connected with high speed Internet connection.
E-Resources
I N-LIST of INFLIBNET ( http://www.inflibnet.ac.in/n-list/ ) "National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)" a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, under its National Mission on Education through ICT, and is being jointly executed by the INFLIBNET Centre and IIT Delhi. Under this project students and faculty from New Law Academy have access to more than 2,100 e-journals and 51,000 e-books through a proxy server installed at the INFLIBNET Centre. The authorized users can access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher's website.
II Manupatra ( http://www.manupatra.com/ ) A comprehensive Indian Legal Database Covering Judgements of Supreme Court and High Courts, Orders of Tribunals and Commissions, Bare Acts, Bills, Notification and Circulars, Forms, Committee Reports, Draft Agreements and Deeds, National and International Laws related to WTO/Anti-Dumping, Arbitration, Cyber/ IT Laws/ IPR, Forex and Banking, Capital Market, Corporate Laws, Competition Laws, Employment Laws, Direct Taxation, Indirect Taxation, VAT, Foreign Policy and Procedures, Human Rights, Indian Industrial Policies and Procedures, Environment, Media and Communication, Insurance, Power and Energy, Mines and Minerals and so on.
III AIR Supreme Court:AIR Supreme Court database contains data covering a period from 1950 till today. The database has the full text judgments from both the AIR Supreme Court as well as from AIR SCW.
IV CDs:Our library has a small collection of Books in CD/DVD format which can be issues to the users.
SERVICES & FACILITIES
A) Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)
Library has OPAC of its holdings and users can search database of books and journals through Title, Author, Subject, etc. OPAC also helps the users to search database of other college libraries in Azam Campus and the status of Books and other documents.
B) Circulation (Issue/Return of Books)
Users may borrow books for home for a stipulated period. Journals/Reporters are not allowed to issue for home.
C) Reference Service/Assistance )
The Library provides both anticipatory and on-demand services for better utilization of information resources with maximum satisfaction of students and faculty. Reference queries from users are answered over telephone, email or in person, while general queries are answered by the staff. News paper clippings, display of new arrivals, display of notices and other useful information are main activities under Current Awareness Services. The library also organises books exhibition regularly.
D) Photocopy Service
Library provides photocopy and printout service to the users at nominal charges.
E) Inter-Library Loan
Library has an inter-library loan arrangement with all the college libraries in Azam Campus and has institutional membership of Jaykar Library, University of Pune.
F) On-line Databases
Library provides access to over 2,100 online journals and 51,000 e-books of all subjects through N-LIST of INFLIBNET (UGC) and also has access to www.manupatra.com to search database of Judgments of the Supreme Court and High Courts and other related legal resources. The library has AIR Supreme Court Database 1950 -2010.
G) Library Orientation Programme
At the every beginning of new academic year, Library organise orientation programme to newly joined students. Orientation programmes include library tour, familiarity with online resources, OPAC, reference and allied tools useful for legal research. Students are guided by the library staff to familiar with the collection and its location within the library.
H) Reading Room and Reference Section
Library has an excellent reading room with 112 comfortable chairs and tables with divider and a separate reference section with seating capacity of 28. There are 2 reading rooms separate for boys and girls which are common for all the students of Azam Campus and remain open till late night.
Working Hours of the Library:
Monday to Saturday 8:00 am to 10 p.m.
E-library can be used after lecture hours.
