| Prohibition of ragging: |
It is hereby notified to all the students of AKK New Law Academy (NLA) that,
- Ragging within or outside of the institution is strictly prohibited according to the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999.
- According to the Act, Ragging means teasing, abusing, Threatening or playing practical jokes on or causing hurt to such student or asking a student to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course willingly do.
- Anti-ragging Committee and Anti-ragging Squad have been working in the institution and if any student is found indulged in ragging directly or indirectly by the members of the squad, strict action will be taken against that student, i.e. cancellation of his admission/ rustication / filling of Police Complaint etc.

The above committee and squad have been constituted and working in this college as per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India by its judgment and order dated 11-02-2009 in University of Kerala V/s the Council of Principals of College in Kerala and Others to prevent ragging in the colleges/institutions. |
